Before purchasing CarPlay Activation, please check your software version:

Your headunit MUST be version ENTRYNAV2 or WAY 

Head units with software version NEXT, ENTRY, or ENTRYNAV are not compatible. Only ENTRYNAV2 and WAY systems are supported.

5. Check Version - You will see

Wi-Fi Antenna Requirement:

Many MINIs already have built-in Wi-Fi WLAN connections

• All North American cars are equipped with a WLAN port (Wi-Fi antenna port in the head unit), while European cars will need to be checked. 
• A Wi-Fi antenna is required for Apple CarPlay to function in any BMW or MINI Cooper . Some MINI and BMW vehicles already include one from the factory; others do not.

  If you’re unsure whether your car has one, we recommend purchasing the antenna to ensure smooth activation and wireless functionality.
